ASEAN SEC-GEN BESTOWED AWARD
BY CAMBODIAN MONARCH

 
JAKARTA (Nov 12) – ASEAN Secretary-General Rodolfo Severino has been bestowed the Royal Order of Sahametrei – Commander by Cambodia’s King Norodom Sihanouk.
 
The prestigious award that is conferred on foreigners who have performed distinguished services to the King and to Cambodia, was presented to Mr. Severino during his audience  with King Sihanouk at the Royal Palace in Phnom Penh on Nov 7.
 
The Royal Order of Sahametrei is awarded in five classes. The First Class is the Mahasirivathi-Grand Cross; the Second Class is the Grand Officer; the Third Class is the Commander, the Fourth Class is the Officer; and the Fifth Class is the Knight.
