P      National standard approved by the maritime safety administration   

 

B.                 METHOD PAPER 

 

-         Paper Test

-         Practical Assessment

-         Assignment

-         Aural& Oral Test

 

C.  FREQUENCY OF PAPER TEST

 

            -           Each Semester

 

D.  PROVISION FOR COURSES EVALUATION

 

-     Evaluation criteria available

-     Frequency: Irregular

 

E.   EXAMINATION SYSTEM ON BOARD TRAINING ARRANGEMENT

 

-     Authority Maritime Safety Administration

-         Training record books (TRB) have to be approved by the authority

-         Type of TRB : National TRB

-          The monitoring is conducted by the authority 

 

F.   QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE OF EXAMINER 

 

      i.    Academic Background (percentage of the whole academic staff)

 

P      Master degree: Over 70%

 

      ii.   Maritime qualification

 

P      Levels of certificates of competence

-     Master: over 30 %                   

                  -     Chief Engineer: over 30 %       

 

P      Sea Experience

-         4 years

 

G.  QUALITY STANDARD SYSTEM

     

      i.    Certificate Issuing Procedure: National Standard System 

 

      ii.   Conduct of Eternal evaluation for Quality Standards System

 

P      Conducted by Maritime authority or approved agency every two years.

 

      iii.  Issue of Certificates (unlimited certificate only )
