Cooperation and Investment in Tourism and Hotel Sector


Within the Subregion, links and networks in the tourism sector already exist : Government-to-government and the commercial sector.

The commun interest among all six countries is to promote nature and culture types of tourism. The major problem is the gaps in most countries in the basic infrastructure and support services necessary for maximizing tourism potential.

The subregional cooperation will primarily focus on :

  1. Promoting the Subregion as a tourism destination.

  2. Establishing Subregional Tourism Forum.

  3. Training the trainers in the basic craft skills of tourism.

  4. Training the Resource Management in Conservation and Tourism.
