Foreigners who intend to do business in Myanmar can obtain a four-week Business Entry Visa from Myanmar Embassies, Missions and Consulates abroad ( Appendix - 18 ).
It is also possible for those operating business in Myanmar to obtain a Multiple Journey Entry Visa. For more information regarding visas, enquiries should be made at the Myanmar Embassies, Missions and Consulates.
STAY PERMITA stay permit of up to a year's duration is also issued. It may be extended upon application endorsed by the Myanmar Investment Commission or the Ministry concerned.
BUSINESS HOURSBusiness hours of government offices are from 09:30 hours to 16:30 hours, Monday through Friday. Banks are open to the public from 10:00 hours to 14:00 hours, Monday through Friday. Many restaurants and retail establishments keep longer hours and are open throughout the week.

Radio and Television
Radio Myanmar ( RM ) broadcasts in Myanmar, English and eight national languages on 314 metres and 520 metres of medium wave; and 30.85 metres, 50.13 metres and 63.49 metres short wave.
Myanma Television telecasts its programmes from one channel using N T S C system.
Commercial advertisement services are available on both radio and television.
NewspapersThree morning newspapers "Myanma Ahlin" and "Kyemon" in Myanmar, "The New Light of Myanmar" in English and an evening newspaper "City News" in Myanmar are published in Yangon and a morning newspaper "The Yadanabon News" in Myanmar is published in Mandalay in Upper Myanmar.
HOTELSThere are international class hotels, jointly foreign-owned as well as licensed private hotels and motels in Yangon as well as in other major cities and towns. Many new international class hotels are under construction and will be in operation in the near future.
WEIGHTS AND MEASURESThe English system of weights and measures is generally used. But in the markets the use of Myanmar weights and measures is common. The metric system has also been introduced in many areas.
