EMTCs aim to transfer information and experiences from EU to ASEAN professionals as well as to assist and strengthen manpower skills and expertise.

Other trainings aim to reinforce particular strengths gained from AEEMTRC's research programmes such as ASEAN 2020 and Integrated Urban Energy Planning (IUEP). They are usually in the form of methodology transfer training courses aimed to build up specialised competencies of Member Countries.
